Upperton Installs Niro Spray Dryer

10th Jan 2006

Upperton has successfully installed and commissioned a Niro Mobile MinorSpray Dryer in its processing laboratories. Previously Upperton had been limited to working with a Buchii Laboratory Dryer and whilst this was useful for small-scale work, it had limited capacity.

The Niro Mobile Minor is significantly larger than the Buchii Laboratory Dryer. The maximum evaporative capacity of the Niro Mobile Minor is approximately 7kg per hour allowing Upperton to produce up to kilogram quantities of spray dried powders.

The Mobile Minor has been housed in a specially-equipped processing room with dedicated services and air extraction.
