Capabilities and Scale
Upperton is continuously enhancing its spray drying capabilities to ensure that we provide our customers with the range of spray drying services that they require.
Our spray drying is carried out on 2 types of spray dryer:
Buchi B-290- Buchi B-290 Spray Dryer: suitable for development and small scale clinical manufacture (typical batch size 1 - 200g)
Niro Spray Dryer- Niro Pharmaceutical Spray Dryer: suitable for larger scale manufacture (typical batch size 100g - 3kg)
Both spray dryers can be used for spray drying either aqueous or organic (flammable) solvents.
Process transfer between the 2 dryers is generally straightforward and this offers customers a seamless development of their product from early feasibility work right through to clinical manufacture.
